The QNG is awarded by independent accredited bodies. The Sustainable Building Quality Seal is available for both residential and non-residential buildings:  <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Seal variant for residential buildings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (valid from 01.01.2023): <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New construction and complete modernization of residential buildings, version 2023 (QNG-WG23, replaces QNG-KN21 and QNG-WN21)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Seal variant for non-residential buildings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (valid from 01.01.2023): <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New construction and complete modernization of non-residential buildings, version 2023 (QNG-NW23, replaces NWG-BN22 and NWG-BK22)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The exact <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.hoinka.com\/gebaeudezertifizierung\/qng-qualitaetssiegel-nachhaltiges-gebauede\/qng-nh-klasse-kriterien\/\">criteria for obtaining the QNG seal<\/a> are defined by the federal government or the respective federal ministry responsible for the construction industry and are divided into general and special requirements. After completion of construction, the completed planning and construction processes are independently checked for compliance with these criteria. In order to be awarded the QNG seal, the qualities achieved must be verified by a recognized certification body and a sustainability assessment must be carried out by an accredited assessment system for sustainable construction.    <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Currently recognized evaluation systems:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hoinka.com\/gebaeudezertifizierung\/dgnb\/dgnb-zertifizierung\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DGNB system<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (non-residential buildings: 2013 and 2018 versions, residential buildings: 2018 and 2021 versions),<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hoinka.com\/gebaeudezertifizierung\/nawoh\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quality seal for sustainable residential construction<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Residential building: NaWoh V3.1), <\/span> <\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assessment system for sustainable small residential buildings (residential buildings: BNK V1.0) up to five residential units and assessment system for sustainable buildings (BNG) for more than five residential units,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hoinka.com\/gebaeudezertifizierung\/bnb\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assessment system for sustainable building<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (non-residential buildings: BNB version 2015 and 2017). <\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proof is provided in the form of regular certification with one of the aforementioned assessment systems. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2>QNG requirements as a funding standard: Climate-friendly new build funding program (KFN)<\/h2>\n<p>Since July 2021, sustainable construction and sustainability certifications have been promoted as a quality assurance tool by the Federal Subsidy for Efficient Buildings (BEG). The Efficiency House sustainability class (NH class) with QNG was the only standard that was promoted within this framework. Since March 2023, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.hoinka.com\/en\/new-beg-promotion-climate-friendly-new-build-kfn\/\">Climate-friendly New Construction (KFN) funding program<\/a> has been available for residential and non-residential buildings. This means that the entire life cycle of a building is taken into account for funding purposes.
