June 17, 2025 The new administration building of ENTEGA AG was awarded LEED Platinum. As LEED AP, Thomas Hoinka accompanied the certification for HOINKA GmbH. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The new ENTEGA administration building in the north of Darmstadt’s city center impresses at first glance – and at second! The curved shape and light-colored fa\u00e7ades blend in perfectly with the cityscape, and the interiors also impress with their light-flooded openness. The green stairwell serves as a regeneration and communication zone. The office areas are designed according to a modern New Work approach, offering space for shared desks, meeting areas and “telephone booths” for quiet conversations. A special partition wall system and the corresponding planning offer the possibility of flexibly designing the floor plan as required and creating new spaces. The partition wall system and all other products and materials used were selected according to the cradle-to-cradle principle. This means that they are recyclable and can be removed and reused without leaving any residue.
\nA so-called biodiversity roof with grasses, herbs, sand and gravel areas promotes local biodiversity and provides a habitat for numerous plants, insects and animal species.
\nThe fa\u00e7ade of the building and the fa\u00e7ade-integrated PV system also deserve a special mention: as the building was planned with as little technology as possible, there is no mechanical, external sun protection. Instead, triangular brackets were installed above the windows to provide shade, in which the PV modules were also installed on the south side. The brackets vary in size depending on the direction of the compass, depending on the amount of solar radiation that occurs throughout the day. <\/p>\n

LEED Platinum<\/strong> is the highest certification level in the LEED system (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), a globally recognized rating system for sustainable construction. LEED evaluates the sustainability of buildings based on various criteria, which are divided into nine categories. These categories include infrastructural accessibility of the site, integrative planning process, water efficiency, energy and global environmental impact, material cycles and resource conservation, indoor air quality, innovation and design process, site qualities and implementation of measures of particular importance to the site. <\/p>\n
