The path to becoming a LEED AP
The LEED AP (Accredited Professional) exam is divided into two parts. The first part is the LEED Green Associate exam, which tests general knowledge of green building practices. The second part is the examination of specialization in one area of the LEED Reference Guides. Both parts of the exam consist of 100 questions each, of which a total of at least 170 must be answered correctly in order to pass. Participants have two hours for each part of the exam. While the LEED Green Associate focuses more on concepts and terminology, the second part of the exam tests the candidate’s in-depth understanding of one of the five main categories of the rating system mentioned above. To take the exam, you must have worked on a LEED project within the last three years. The collaboration must be confirmed by LEED Online or the employer. As a certified LEED AP (Accredited Professional), we can advise you in all phases of your project and support you on the way to successful LEED certification.
