Saving energy with modern technologies
A lot of energy can be saved by using modern technologies.
In order to promote the use of these technologies, BAFA supports companies in the integration of so-called cross-sectional technologies.
Cross-sectional technologies are innovative technologies that can be used to optimize processes across industries and increase efficiency in various areas.
What is funded by BAFA in Module 1: Cross-section technologies?
Module 1 of the federal funding for energy and resource efficiency in the economy promotes investments in technologies available on the market that contribute to increasing energy efficiency.
Eligible investment costs
Funding is available for the replacement or new acquisition of highly efficient systems or units for industrial and commercial applications in the following cross-sectional technologies:
- electric motors and drives,
- Pumps (industrial and commercial applications),
- Fans (industrial and commercial applications),
- Compressed air systems (incl. higher-level control),
- Heat exchanger for waste heat utilization/heat recovery from a heat-carrying waste water or process water flow,
- Insulation of industrial plants/plant components,
- Frequency inverter.
